NOSTOPS was formed in April 2004., and has had a number of notable achievements. Its efforts have proven productive for the foreign guest workers community and the prospective migrant guest workers in India, in areas ranging from US immigration policy to acting as a liasion coalition organization between the corporate and the tech worker.

Consistently and diligently building sophisticated relationships with individuals leading to a presence and awareness on Capitol Hill

NOSTOPS has been recognized as the only foreign guest worker centric organization in the United States and has over 100,000 registered members. NOSTOPS has been invited to speak to US Congressional staffers on the H1 Program on Capitol Hill. (Read Interview)

Representation, Awareness & Education
  • Held online chat sessions for 10 months on leading portals, leading Q&A sessions with chat participants.
  • Published literature and books in print to educate and generate awareness of the stringent H1-H4 visa policies.
  • Held seminars and events to address issues of prospective and H1 returnees.
  • Publicized issues of non-resident Indians working on the H1-H4 visas in local and national media.
  • Published book titled "American Work Permit" in April 2004.

    NOSTOPS has established a dialogue with local American workers communicating issues of the H1 worker, thereby eliminating misconceptions amongst the foreign guest workers.

    NOSTOPS has facilitated connections with leading authorities amongst age-old workers coalition organizations within the United States.

    NOSTOPS extensive research on the pay-rate disparate issue between American and foreign work force has been utilized in US Congressional briefing towards the reforms to the H1 Program.

    NOSTOPS works with organizations in the IT Consulting business practices towards promoting and expanding their business access beyond foreign guest workers to that of recruiting local talent within the United States.
