Historical Paramparā
Jñāna Yoga, the path of knowledge, uses discrimination (viveka) between the real and the unreal, study, reflection and meditation (śravaṇa–manana–nididhyāsana) to dissolve ignorance and realise the identity of self and absolute. It is rooted in the Upaniṣads and elaborated within Vedānta.
Modern Teacher Lineage
The teaching of Ramana Maharshi (1879–1950), the sage of Arunachala, centres on self-enquiry (ātma-vichāra) — tracing the sense of 'I' to its source — as a direct path to realising the non-dual Self. His life and silence drew seekers from across the world.
